Took us about 4 hrs to reach the summit, and about

2 hrs back down. The extreme heat almost got us.

Since we'll be doing Mt. Whitney in Sept., I brought along a

1 gallon water bottle in my backpack. Still not used to the

heavy load. Got to start somewhere.
